Fashion Magazine asked their style panel this week about styling more than one statement piece. Here is what I said, including my tip on keeping the look feel balanced by ensuring no more than one item in your clothing, accessories and one beauty feature to highlight.

It’s A Plaid, Plaid World

I’ve clearly been a fan of plaid for some time now, examples 1, 2, and 3, and with print-mixing being my favourite trend of 2013, I thought I’d have some fun with this pattern. When experimenting with combining different prints it is important to look at size ratios. You want to create something interesting for the eye to bounce between with contrast. So look at mixing small, medium and large sized prints.
