As the day that we recognize our mothers for their fabulousness is approaching (tomorrow), Fashion Magazine, reached out to their style panel to discuss the growing trends that are reflective of our mother’s style. Now I must admit, my mom grew up with killer style, but even now, she’s has that effortlessly-chic thing down pat.

Here is what I said about my super-mom. Happy Mother’s Day mom!

When I saw blogger beauty, Chiara Ferragni of The Blonde Salad, sporting her sports bra outside the shows during Fashion Month, I instantly got inspired to style this athletic essential trend. I fell in love with the Nike Pro Rival bra, as the high support durability and breathable fabric, make this bra look as beautiful as it fits. There is something about suiting-up, that I absolutely love. This power suit combination is just so lovely and yet strong.

Being a tourist in your own city is one of the best ways to spend a stay-cation, but wearing the appropriate shoes is key in lasting the day. This season’s running shoes encourage being active and are super on trend. The light weight materials that the new sneakers are made with make them perfect for walking in all day and exploring the city. Two pairs of runners that I’m eyeing right now are these beautiful navy Nikes, perfect for the upcoming spring-to-fall transition, and these ladylike New Balance ones that are just simply adorable.

Last Spring I wore this same dress with an amazing pair of Nike high-tops that I had borrowed from my girl Katelynn.
