motel_dressSo… it got hot quickly, here in Toronto, and I definitely felt a bit unprepared (but yet beyond excited) for the temperature change. Summers in an office environment are often difficult, and with all this talk about dress code, it’s important to understand how to dress appropriately for your office. Every environment is very different, even within the same field, so ask the questions if you are unsure and I’m always prepared with a sweater incase the air-conditioning is blasting too much.

It must be the weather, the reason that I’ve been in a daze for the last week or so. Toronto hasn’t felt this nice in so long, and everyone should be taking advantage of the Vitamin D. Dressing for early summer involves planning for the potential of extreme heat, with breezes and the potential dropping of temperature come sundown. I tend to gravitate towards breathable fabrics like silk, that are ideal for absorbing any sweat during the day while being light weight and easy to be worn layered under a sweater for the evening.

Not Getting Dressed

So as this trend, of not getting dressed, lingers on, I’ve grown to love it, and I think most people have. The soft fabrics are easy to wear and insanely comfortable. They come in every form of print, pattern, colour and now with a cropped version available now part of Joe Fresh’s SS14 Runway collection, we have a perfect cut for this hot weather that is here. These pants are my absolute favourite things to through on whenever I’m feeling sleepy, and paired with a luxurious silk shirt it’s nothing but lazy luxury.
