Coat Confessions: Part 3 Winter Formal Edition
Coat Confessions: Part 4 – The Denim Details
I’ve never been so happy to see the end of a year come. 2016 was rough, emotionally for me, and the last few weeks I’ve spent focused on my health and wellness, which will continue through into 2017 and hopefully make it my most successful year. Thank you for all of the love and support this past year!

Once again, I’m overwhelmed with the past year, and so grateful for everything that has happened in 2014, and cannot wait to see what adventures Trevor, Monkey and I get into in 2015!
So much love!
]]>I wore a J.Mendel gown, Erickson Beamon earrings, Pierre Hardy heels; all from The Room at Hudson’s Bay and Trevor wore a custom suit from Brooks Brothers and Happy Socks socks, with a pair of blue suede Florsheim shoes. The talented fashion illustrator Danielle Meder illustrated our wedding live, as Brie from Mango Studios photographed it. It was documented by Elle and Be Cinematography.
So much love goes out to our bridal party and family. Cynthia & Gary Solomon, Heather & Benny Negin. Kate Negin, Deena Markus, Katelyyn Ubbi, Jordana Rapuch & Ben Kashin, Dean Simon, Julio Rodriguez, Daniel Nguyen & Aya Kawakita, and Matthew Solomon & Lindsay George.
We DIY’ed gold dinosaurs place-settings for our guests.

Mixing patterns like stripes with florals can be make for an overwhelming outfit, but truthfully it’s all about balance. Making sure the contrast is exciting, and that you have an element in your outfit that give it a base, in this case it would be the black leather pumps and the moto jacket. They unite the outfit together and allow for the contrasting pieces to steal the spotlight.

]]>Bright colours are one of the big trends right now and leading into Spring/Summer 2013. Don’t be afraid of going for a bold look by dressing in one solid colour. It is a great way to grab attention and makes for ease while getting dressed in the morning.
And yes, my hair is in pigtail buns.

]]>Sweatshirts with graphic prints are all the rage this season, and for the first time can be worn confidently outside of your bedroom. This one is one I’ve held on to for many many years, as a child I grew up with the owner’s of this fine grocery store, and it brings back many memories of running through the store, nibbling on all the fresh produce and baked goods. (oh those are grapes from my local fruit market)

I’m not a crazy fan of see through. It probably has something to do with my dislike of exposed bras, however I do find see through done sultry rather than sexy appealing.
Finely knit sweaters are a great way to expose yourself (with a layer beneath) without going for a chiffon or lace blouse. I like to layer them in a more interest way than a typical tank top, think of a classic bodycon or fitted dress.

Pastels and florals for summer. I just really can’t get enough of them. Don’t be afraid to mix a patterned top with a textured bottom or vice versa. This knit pencil skirt has a tone-on-tone linear pattern going horizontally around, I think it really works really well with a tank like this, that as a contrast has its graphic print placed quite randomly. Remember the rules of style and design apply to all elements of your life. Take this rule into your home decor by mixing unexpected styles like industrial and combining it with more feminine elements. Contrast, though may seem scary at times, usually works SO well.
