Today is Labour Day, the unofficial end of summer. Though, I’m not ready to be in layers, rather than laying on the beach, I am ready to reset my wardrobe and think of things in different ways. Before I do, I’ve been wearing my favourite pieces of the summer before I say goodbye to them-for what seems like forever. Here’s a look back at some of my favourite looks from this summer (in no particular order):
1) Office Appropriate – which is a great transitional look too
2) Wet Hot American Fashion
3) Rain Delay – which inspired this beautiful painting by the lovely Kyra Kendall
Hope you enjoyed your summer! Thank you for spending it with Trevor, Monk and I <3

Today marks the first sighting of snow for me, and though it didn’t last long, or stay on the ground, the fact that winter is about to hit the city of Toronto, is a frightening thought.
During the winter months, I turn to fashion to keep moods cheerful, both mine and my peers. Sometimes a playful print or bright colour can do magic to change someone’s perspective on an entire day. Animal prints are always on trend, so recently I stole my husband’s dress shirt on an extremely stressful day, which is covered in simple illustrations of Dalmatians. The playful print was the perfect comic relief to what could have been a long and daunting day.
Do you have any prints or colours that you wear to lift your spirits?

Fashion Magazine asked their style panel how to keep cool while wearing all black this summer. My go-to was this super cool black and grey playsuit from Topshop Canada. The oversized graphic floral print is so beautiful in it’s monochromatic colour palette. Here is what I said.

This “polar vortex” that has taken over Toronto is awfully hard to work with. The cold temperatures are make photo shoots brutal… but oh the life of a style blogger When the temperatures dip, I tend to try to grab my favourite textured pieces like this velvet turtleneck. So basic in style, it adds a winter/glam/retro feel that I love. What do you turn to when the temperature dips?

In October, my husband and I visited family in Europe, London and Paris to be exact. It was an amazing two weeks of adventure, getting to all of the amazing exhibits like the Alaïa | Paris Musées – which was insane and inspiring- and hidden gems like the British Library Manuscripts, that houses original hand written texts, including scribbles of Yesterday by The Beatles. We took the Eurostar from London to Paris while catching up on some sleep, before the next chapter of our trip started.

Sometimes when shopping for others, you get caught up with the idea of dressing up, and I end up buying something that I simply can’t live without. I found this playsuit (a one piece, top and bottom outfit) the other day when shopping and knew that it was not only perfect for my grandparents 60th wedding anniversary, but I’d be able to wear it time and time again.
It is a statement piece, a solid article of clothing that draws attention when entering a room. I can’t wait to wear it for a meeting and dress it up with a blazer to create a completely different style.
