The strict weight restrictions of flying, often makes it difficult for an indecisive fashion lover to travel lightly. While at home, I try to plan the outfits for the trip, ensuring that I have items that work well together, and items incase the weather decides not to co-operate.
This dress is actually an amazing maxi skirt, that I brought to wear with a sweater during the cooler evenings while vacationing in Florida, but during this stunning day, it seemed to work better as an easy dress. Adding some sparkle with these beautiful Brides X BaubleBar earrings and an great heel, this is now a glamourous dress to take me anywhere. See how I styled this skirt as a dress back in 2012!

Sitting here, freezing on a Monday night I can’t help but picture a few weeks ago when my husband and I road tripped from Toronto to Miami—with a stop over in Nashville. We drove for a total of 60 hours (including the time around Miami) and 5534 km (3439 miles) while playing old school car games and singing to the radio, Jay Z and Les Miserables (we just saw the production). It was an amazing 10 day escape with my love, and can’t wait to plan our next adventure.

I believe in breaking rules… if you know me well, you know that already. Rules are created for the general, and not really the specific individual. So when it comes to fashion rules, I prefer to try to work around them. The rule No White after Labour Day dates back to the early 1800s when the “1%” would arrive back home from their summer long vacations, and put away their summer clothes. I believe that there is a time an a place for white after labour day, and I can’t wait to show you the same dress, rocked out for fall… stay tuned!
