]]>I must say, relaxing at home has new meaning since my Calvin Klein sports bra came home with me. The fit and cut is amazing, and I ran out to grab the other colours after wearing this one on repeat. Lately, in efforts to save some money for our up-coming move, we’ve been staying-in more than usual, and I love the fact that I can lounge in such a cute set of underwear by Calvin Klein.

I’ve been in saving mode for some time, trying to limit my expenses and only buying things that are on major discount. The end of the month of February/beginning of March gets extremely difficult to not find things that are marked down so low that they make you feel like your stealing!
The first thing I found was this coat, mixed in with pea coat in the basement of my local Urban Outfitters. But what I really had found was a beautiful blue leather jacket by Australian brand Ryder. I’ve always been a big fan of the cool-girl label, which uses a great mix of graphic prints and beautiful colours. The coat was marked down 84%, coming in at less than $100.
The next must-have that I found was this Marc by Marc Jacobs laptop bag, that will double as a purse. I’ve wanted it since the day I saw it, and that’s one of the reasons that I love shopping at Hudson’s Bay. If you keep your eye one something, you can always get it at a great price! I ended up with this baby for just over $40, and could not have been smiling any bigger as I left the store last week.

This season, matching sweater sets (tops and bottoms) are going to be huge. That look is a lot for many people so to tone down the trend look for some great knit separates that you’ll be able to pair together while shopping the new fall collections.

As the weather gets hotter, I can’t help but await the end of June…then I realize I’m a grown woman, and my days of playing ga-ga and making friendship bracelets at summer camp are over. It’s been many years since overnight camp, and I really believe that every kid who enjoyed their experience there, miss their summers away. The camps I went to, 2 different ones in Toronto, and one magical one in California, taught me so much and I feel so grateful for the experiences I had. At camp you feel free to be who you were at an age that it isn’t always easy to do so. I always felt that this was the place where I was able to experiment with fashion the most, sharing a wardrobe with a cabin of girls.
I’ve always found myself attracted to things that remind of summer camp, friendship bracelets, like these beautiful ones by KIM&ZOZI, moccasins, and my favourite activity for arts and crafts, tie-dye.

While spring shopping, a piece I want everyone to pick up is a printed playsuit of some sort. I’ve been loving them since I wore a bright orange one last season. I find them beyond comfortable, if you can get over the whole getting nearly naked to pee, they are amazing!

Since joining ClearlyContacts.ca as one of their style ambassadors earlier this year, I’ve completely fallen in love with wearing my frames. These amazing Ray-Bans have become my newest staple, and are helping to define my spring style. Glasses can add so much instant glam to every outfit and this spring I look forward to sharing with you how glasses can enhance your style. Can we talk about Cat Eyes #monkeythekitty <3

“Once you can accept the universe as being something expanding into an infinite nothing which is something, wearing stripes with plaid is easy.” Albert Einstein
Fashion Magazine asked their style panel how to update the plaid trend for FW2013. As you can see from my previous looks, I love nothing more than a head-to-toe look, and rocking plaid like this becomes a very cool 90’s meets modern outfit. Here is my look on Fashion Magazine.

]]>I’ve been all about prints for sometime now, mixing and pairing them in unexpected ways, but what seems to be the next big thing is the concepts of suiting and matching. We’ve been seeing a lot of this lately, with this summer’s crop tops worn with matching shorts and skirts. For fall it’s much more conservative, fitted trousers, structured yet simple blazers and this time we are challenging you to try a new print. I haven’t been able to find the perfect leopard suit, but when I found this set from Topshop a few weeks back, I thought the structure would help make do until I satisfy my sartorial urges.

This week, Fashion Magazine wanted to discuss neon and how to wear it without looking like your a rave kid. I love bright colours, I feel like when you wear them, people around you smile (of course, if you’re wearing them correctly). I once wore this dress during an important meeting. It was a bold choice and likely not meant for everyone, but I was able to start the conversation off with compliments on the colour and the meeting continued up-hill from there.
This is my post for Fashion Magazine
