During the holiday season, there is really no better feeling than that of giving. A gift is something that is both special for everyone, and to see the joy that your kindness brings to others is truly breathtaking.
This season give a gift that means a little more. Billy Talent and Bluenotes have teamed up and designed a limited edition graphic tee, with all proceeds going to Kids Help Phone. The tee is only $10 and makes the perfect stocking stuffer.
Over the past 16 years Bluenotes has already raised over $1.6 million dollars for Kids Help Phone! So buy a tee, give a gift and help a kid! Available both in-store and online.

As the weather gets colder it’s important to layer up to avoid getting sick. I am just recovering from a slight flu I picked up at a charity fashion show last week (funny pictures of me to come!). Layers are usually not my thing, to be honest. I don’t like feeling hot, and often I feel they make you look larger than you really are.
However, when you style them to flirt with your eye from contrast with patterns, colours, textures and shapes, it becomes a really different experiences. I challenge you, as my reader, and hopefully a friend to think about contrast and making a statement as you layer up this fall. I believe you have the power to rock an unexpected look. Please send me pictures – I’d love to see them.
Happy weekend friends! I hope everyone enjoys!
xx.

]]>Today I played with textures and patterns. I couldn’t help myself when I found this leather/knit sweater the other day. Leather is beyond a hot trend this season, and goes hand-in-hand with the textured fall concept we’ve discussed in previous posts.
These amazing boots were quite the investment piece, I’ve owned them for years, and each fall season I can rework the above-the-knee boot into a new look.

Somethings are so natural. Like great things are classic and timeless. Joe Fresh is a perfect example of this. With clean lines and bold colours, Joe Mimram’s collection has become a staple in my closet since its launch.
When the Queen and Portland location teamed with Lou Lou Magazine to throw a fall shopping event, I knew I had to go. I usually grab a piece or two when I go grocery shopping or am near a store. I am excited to rock so many of the bold coloured pieces I picked up. It is going to be a very colour blocked textured season.
Oh and I had the privilege of meeting Joe Mimram. It was amazing.
