In my childhood, rainy summer days meant either a day spent with my friends in my sleepover camp’s cabin, or running around carefree with messy hair and clothes. Now, rainy days cause my hair some intense anxiety, as keeping my colour in comes with a great deal of issues.
I’m often asked how my red stays so saturated through the 6-8 weeks I go between getting it done and I’ve always held true to my favourite product. My success is because of Revlon Professional’s Nutri Colour Creme conditioner in 600 Fire Red, which basically add colour back in after each wash.
Only problem is, that it also washes out each time my hair gets wet, so getting caught in rain storm ends up looking very messy. For me the sacrifice of always being prepared with an umbrella is worth my vibrant colour, could you handle this high maintenance hair?

]]>This past spring, my partner in crime, Trevor Negin and I started the using the hashtag #OnAWalkWithTheNegins, and seem to have started a trend. Using custom hashtags, to create instagram libraries of trips (#roadtrippinwithboo, #eurotrippinwithboo, #usatrippinwithboo), events (#bandtsurprisewedding), or activities (#barbaraannstyleblogjuicing) allows for new followers to explore easily the history of our travels and life.
The view from this shoot is one that we’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of in the future, as we are planning a big move come 2015, and the official opening of our new studio.

During the holidays, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with shopping, family festivities and finishing projects at work before your vacation can start.
It’s important to take the time to get into the festive spirit for yourself. I know, I can’t celebrate or even being relaxing without getting my hair done. There is something about perfect Revlon colour by Natalie Shemuel of Image Makeover on Queen Street in Toronto, that can make even a simple outfit sparkle.

Fashion Magazine talked about the most basic summer trend, white. But this year it is anything but boring. Here is what I said about it.

With the weather warming up, we are super excited to wear all of the new dresses we’ve picked up, but I’m not quite ready to put away my boots. I live in a tiny little apartment, where only half my wardrobe can fit into my tiny closet at a time. It’s okay, I plan ahead for the season really well and have learned to deal with the concept of storage. I currently am still in winter, caused by busy work schedules and I’m okay with that. My boots are still out and good to rock for a few more days, before being replaced by sandals.

]]>The 1990’s have hit 2013 hard. It’s a little overwhelming to jump back into this somewhat frightening decade filled with neon windbreakers, velvet jumpsuits, and some crazy power suits. Fashion Magazine has asked the style panel to help guide us through this trend, here’s what I said. The key is to try less.
There will be more talks of the 90s in up coming posts, but let me know if there is any big trend that you need help with! I’ll do my best to solve it! xx. b

Since I was 13, I’ve been dying my hair. It’s become a way for me to change my look, without cutting off my hair, which I’ve done, and regretted the 5 year grow out. I’ve been many colours, bleach blonde, ombre, dark brown, streaked, and recently I dipped-dyed my own ombre tips cotton candy pink. But of all the colours I’ve ever been, red has been my favourite and my biggest challenge. For those interested in going red, it is truly an investment, and requires a lot of maintenance. I went to see my girl Natalie at Image Makeover, who herself is an amazing red head, to get this red pepper look, and am totally in love.
