So as this trend, of not getting dressed, lingers on, I’ve grown to love it, and I think most people have. The soft fabrics are easy to wear and insanely comfortable. They come in every form of print, pattern, colour and now with a cropped version available now part of Joe Fresh’s SS14 Runway collection, we have a perfect cut for this hot weather that is here. These pants are my absolute favourite things to through on whenever I’m feeling sleepy, and paired with a luxurious silk shirt it’s nothing but lazy luxury.

Some days are all about layers, starting off windy and cool, and warming up in the afternoon. Heading to Niagara on the long weekend, I anticipated some drastic weather changes and dressed accordingly.
A silky pair of printed pants, with a stripped tank, for when the sun is shining after lunch, add a pop of colour with a sweater for the mid day stroll around Niagara on the Lake, and the essential leather moto jacket for the morning and late afternoon, when the breeze picks up into a wind. Over all an amazing day with a great group of photographers, thanks for including me!

The trend of daywear pajamas is one of the more difficult ones for everyone to pull off, I think it’s hard to get over the fact that you can wear this out of the house.
Fashion Magazine asked the style panel how to rock this trend. Here is what I said.

I hope everyone enjoyed their long weekends, and had a great first day back to work, or for those lucky enough to be continuing their education, back to school. I had so much fun this weekend and was able to explore the Toronto Island, The Canadian Exhibition, and Main Street Unionville. Though, waking up for work this morning was a very difficult. It may have been the rain or the weekend’s activities, but I was definitely not the only person who was tired today.
So when everything is telling you to be sleepy, why not dress for it. Fashion, this season has given us the “go ahead” to wear pajamas to work, out for dinner, basically anywhere. This lounge wear is so effortless, and is really about layering and comfort. Made from cottons and silks, pajama pants (with matching tops) can be found everywhere, from Joe Fresh to Topshop. Next time your bed is calling your name at 6 am, put on some silky pants, and feel better knowing that you will likely be the most comfortable person in your office.

Summer vacation, long weekends, and evenings off in the summer are moments to enjoy. Spend these times dressing up, trying new combinations and styles. Sometimes you want to try a look for the 9-5, but are unsure if its appropriate, wearing it during your time off will allow you to see if you feel comfortable in it, and allows you the time to ask your peers if it is appropriate for your industry.
