caf·tan or kaf·tan: A full-length garment with elbow-length or long sleeves, worn chiefly in eastern Mediterranean countries. A westernized version of this garment consisting of a loose, usually brightly colored waist-length or ankle-length tunic

So a Kaftan or caftan is generally hard to wear, especially if your a woman with curves, because it’s so loose it can make you look larger than you really are. I like to belt garments like this. Belting allows for your body’s shape to shine. On hot and humid days it’s also great to wear natural fibres as they allow your skin to breath, and of course, fair girls like me cover your skin in the sun or wear  a high SPF to stay safe in the sun.
