It’s great when you find an item that has two jobs. Fashion Magazine asked the style panel, this past week, how to wear the coat-as-a-dress trend, and I really believe it’s about finding that special coat that can work everyday as something to keep you warm, but when dressed up with accessories becomes the focal point of an outfit. Here is what I said.

So June has been fun. So far we are 4 days in and my birthday month is looking less like beginning of summer and more like the weather typical for the early cool days of spring we experienced this year in Toronto. So it may be time to layer up again, but try to bring in those great spring trends into your rainy day wear.
I got this great ecru Rudsak trench with beautiful pearl leather detailing and paired it with hand-me-down rain boots from my mother.
I love the difference in textures, and prints on this outfit.
My favourite pieces you’ll be able to find me in for most of the season, especially when it comes to outerwear. In Toronto, I find winter wear pretty expensive, so the goal each fall is to find pieces that are pretty classic, and will work with every look that you are trying to accomplish.
