Fashion Magazine asked their style panel this week about their favourite decade to wear. Since I’m a vintage lover, I found that this task was very hard, I sorted through my closet to find some of my favourite pieces, and this dress that was stolen from my mom really stood out. She purchased it during a shopping spree, on a trip to Tel Aviv back in 1977. Growing up with my mom as a nautral beauty and fashion inspiration, I then realized that my favourite items were from closet. Here is what I said to Fashion Magazine.
Some of my favourite things from my mom are:

]]>This past spring, my partner in crime, Trevor Negin and I started the using the hashtag #OnAWalkWithTheNegins, and seem to have started a trend. Using custom hashtags, to create instagram libraries of trips (#roadtrippinwithboo, #eurotrippinwithboo, #usatrippinwithboo), events (#bandtsurprisewedding), or activities (#barbaraannstyleblogjuicing) allows for new followers to explore easily the history of our travels and life.
The view from this shoot is one that we’ll definitely be seeing a lot more of in the future, as we are planning a big move come 2015, and the official opening of our new studio.

Since dying my hair, almost 2 years ago, bright red, with the super talented Natalie of Image Makeover located on Queen St. W in Toronto, I’ve been rethinking how the colours of my clothing interacts with my hair. With unexpected hair colours being all the rage this summer, it is important to take a second look at your wardrobe to find those items that will make your hair makeover pop.
For fire red, my favourites are light sky blue and Kelly green. Here are some examples of how my hair pops when wearing these complementing shades: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7.
Do you have colourful hair? If so, what colours work best for you?

It must be the weather, the reason that I’ve been in a daze for the last week or so. Toronto hasn’t felt this nice in so long, and everyone should be taking advantage of the Vitamin D. Dressing for early summer involves planning for the potential of extreme heat, with breezes and the potential dropping of temperature come sundown. I tend to gravitate towards breathable fabrics like silk, that are ideal for absorbing any sweat during the day while being light weight and easy to be worn layered under a sweater for the evening.

Fashion Magazine asked their style panel how we plan to update one of our favourite trends, stripes, for spring.
Here is what I said.

At the start of each season, I am always on the hunt for the perfect new dress that will become my favourite for the season. I look for something that fits well with a conservative/work appropriate elements (coverage of bra straps, not too deep of a v-neck, and the cut to be just above or below the knee). This season I’ve been able to find everything I was looking for with this amazing dress from eShakti, an online retailer that specializes in customizing those very details. It’s crazy to have a dress fit so well without trying it on and getting it adjusted! With a selection of adorable prints and styles eShakti.com has a great dress for every occasion and I can’t wait to see the next one I’ll pick up!

World Mastercard Fashion Week has landed in Toronto and this is the week to get spotted as a fashionista while downtown. The city’s finest will be out all week, strutting their stuff and watching Canada’s most talented designer’s showcasing their collections. I sadly won’t be out until Thursday, but cannot wait to see this talented group of artist. The complete schedule for the shows is available here. Hope to see you all there!

You have to love when designers make high fashion accessible with collaborations with some of our favourite stores. This past month Peter Pilotto and Christopher De Vos, the designers behind Peter Pilotto teamed up with Target to release an amazing collection of printed and patterned masterpieces. Social media has blown up with #ootd shots of how people styled this beautiful collection.
I wanted to style this dress by adding my own accessories. So I wore my new cat eye glasses from Clearly Contacts, they were the perfect playful piece to add some personality with this super on-trend dress.
I’ll be working with Clearly Contacts as part of their Style Ambassador program, to show you how to style glasses and make them key parts of your outfits! I’m so honoured to be working with such an awesome brand and can’t wait to show you my favourite #FourEye looks!
