It’s hard to believe that the holidays are right around the corner, which also means we are in the final countdown for Baby Negin. Being in the third trimester, with this giant bump, I’m limiting how many holiday events I actually plan to attend. But it will be nice to celebrate and go out, a few more times before #theNegins go from two to three and I spend my days and nights breastfeeding and changing dirty diapers. 
 
While picking my holiday style this year I focused on dressing up while showing off these growing curves but also ensuring that I can remain comfortable at all times. When I found this bright and bold blue dress by Ripe Maternity, I knew it would be the perfect dress for the season and take me from an office holiday party to an evening gathering filled with friends, while being one of the most comfortable items I could possible wear thanks to the knit’s stretch.

In grade 3 everything changed. I had gone to the eye doctor and received the news that I needed glasses.

This was the 90s and I picked out a pair of tortoise-shell, round-metal frames that I wore for the next few years. By grade 6 I was wearing contacts daily. While in school, at camp, basically anytime I left the house. I’d sleep in my contacts. Wear the same pair for months. And with this disrespect to my health as a youth, my eyes have suffered.

Last year, I made the decision to give my eyes the year off contacts and the proper care that they deserved. I got my eyes examined, and invested in new BlueReflect lenses that helped with the eye strain from starring at screens all day and night. Soon after, I noticed a difference in how my eyes felt and began embracing how frames can add so much style to an outfit. I started falling in love with this new accessory, and as I began growing my collection I feel in love with switching them up with each outfit. For the last few weeks, Fashion Magazine has asked their style panel to discuss this season’s top colour trends, Metallics and millennial pink. Without realizing it, I basically wore the same outfit twice. My love for these trends is real.
