Florals during the spring is nothing new, so I’ve taken the challenge to try to reinvent, this beautiful, wheel.
Sometimes, two pieces from different collections, stores and even years match so perfectly, it’s as if they were straight off of Fashion Week’s runway. The pants and top both have accent colours in the other’s colour, making them truly a match made in heaven. Strong floral outfits can help you celebrate and embrace the warmer temperatures that spring has finally brought us.

I’m not sure who is reading my fashion dreams there at Lord & Taylor’s 424Fifth, but this entire new collection is insanely perfect. This sweater…I can’t even… I was at a loss of words when I found it, which is exclusively available at Hudson’s Bay. Half leopard and half plaid – I’m not even sure how this came to be. Oh, 424Fifth, we are just getting started my friend!

With the #dislocatedtoeof2012 coming to a mend, I’m am almost back in heels. For a short moments I can manage the discomfort to at least take a few pictures.
So for this week’s Dress Up Fridays (which I can now assume I’ll post on the following days) I decided to dress a little crazy. Contrasting patterns, as I’ve mentioned, has been huge for summer and will continue into the fall as a hot trend, but adding textures to mix. Today I did a little much, but I sort of like it, the stripes and polka dots we know works well. But for a real change I added some strong floral patterns in the wedges and with a black and gold floral statement necklace. The end of summer kind of makes me panic, so much to do, so many outfits still to wear, and only a few bright and sunny days left before we all put our jackets back on. Heads up, there may be some more crazy coming, as I feel fall tones down my style a bit, and I’m not quite ready.

As someone who is always looking, I find myself inspired by a number of things, and these are actually changing all the time. Right now I’m taking a lot of fashion inspiration from home decor, as my boyfriend and I spend our weekends searching for antique pieces and finding ways to update and make them chic and new. I think that using the things that inspire us in our wardrobes and vice versa, allowing our wardrobe inspire our homes and lives, creates an environment that not only reflects what you love, but also what often flatters you best.
This outfit was totally inspired by Jane Levy from her sitcom Suburgatory. If you think about top stylist work on television and movie sets, you can find great and wearable outfit inspiration in some of your favourite shows*.

I saw this dress at H&M and bought it without thinking twice.
The print is SO on trend for SS2012 and the fit is unreal,
a total recommendation for all us ladies with curves.

This is that same great $10 dress i found at H&M a few weeks back,
this time when wearing this bargin piece, it was a bit cooler outside so I layered a collared shirt underneath
and to complete the look added those adorable TopShop frilly socks to my oxford wedges,
giving this whole look a school girl/preppy feel. For contrast I added my favourite spiked chain necklace!
