If bright colours aren’t your thing (they clearly are mine), but you still want to dress more in tune with the season, I recommend some florals in muted tones. Keeping the colours understated, will allow you to be on trend, and still be true to yourself.

Florals during the spring is nothing new, so I’ve taken the challenge to try to reinvent, this beautiful, wheel.
Sometimes, two pieces from different collections, stores and even years match so perfectly, it’s as if they were straight off of Fashion Week’s runway. The pants and top both have accent colours in the other’s colour, making them truly a match made in heaven. Strong floral outfits can help you celebrate and embrace the warmer temperatures that spring has finally brought us.

It’s New York Fashion Week and I’m sitting here in Toronto so jealous. Fashion week, each season, is so hard for me, because I don’t usually get time off to visit shows. Next month, when Toronto shows come to town, I hope to get to as many as possible, and can’t wait to see the amazing local talent.
In New York, all I’ve been seeing is athletic wear. From running shoes (which I just picked up an amazing pair) to track jackets (see Pharrell William’s Grammy look). I am obsessed with this season from Adidas. Where the sporting look isn’t really my style, this season they’ve created breathtaking pieces that are edgy and feminine.
Oh, and with the Olympic Games going on, I’m feeling a little bit sporty, too. Go Canada!

]]>Winter has come and the holidays are here and with this recent blast of freezing rain and stormy weather , in Toronto, it’s a little hard to picture the enjoyable aspects of winter.
To contrast those extremely dark and depressing winter days, my favourite prints to wear are floral. I think when times are gloomy, that you should dress to cheer yourself and those around you up. You’d be surprised what can be accomplished by adding a little colour to your wardrobe or outfit.
Stay warm my kittens more posts to catch up from loosing internet from the great ice storm of 2013!
