It’s great when you find an item that has two jobs. Fashion Magazine asked the style panel, this past week, how to wear the coat-as-a-dress trend, and I really believe it’s about finding that special coat that can work everyday as something to keep you warm, but when dressed up with accessories becomes the focal point of an outfit. Here is what I said.

Fashion Magazine asked the style panel about wearing statement earring this season. Check out what I said about accessorizing in general during the winter here.

During the holiday season, there is really no better feeling than that of giving. A gift is something that is both special for everyone, and to see the joy that your kindness brings to others is truly breathtaking.
This season give a gift that means a little more. Billy Talent and Bluenotes have teamed up and designed a limited edition graphic tee, with all proceeds going to Kids Help Phone. The tee is only $10 and makes the perfect stocking stuffer.
Over the past 16 years Bluenotes has already raised over $1.6 million dollars for Kids Help Phone! So buy a tee, give a gift and help a kid! Available both in-store and online.

Fashion Magazine asked the Style Panel what we thought of fur. Here is what I said.

I love wearing all white in the winter. It’s truly a bold look and perfect for the holidays. For an easy holiday outfit, pair a simple dress with different accessories. This time I’ve gone with natural fibres, but imagine this with a dark statement necklace, or glammed up with some diamonds and pearls. I think it’s important to start planing for the holiday parties ahead. This is a pretty crazy time of the year, and one less thing is, well, one less thing.
Read my post about headbands as part of Fashion Magazine’s Style Panel here.
Fur & faux fur has always made me question everything. I love the texture it provides to any look, even though I feel completely awkward wearing it. But it’s time to get over my fears, as it is clear it’s here to stay. My suggestion is always to buy faux, though vintage furs are a completely different story, as these are likely classic and timeless.

When it’s beautiful outside, the ideal outfit is layered. A skirt in a lighter material, with a light sweater and mid weight blazer is perfect for these truly remarkable fall days, with the bright sun and cool slight breeze.
Fur & faux fur is an amazing texture to add if you’re bold enough to rock. Save it for going out at night, if you feel that this look night be too daring for the daytime. But I think everyone can try to dress it down and think of it as a bold scarf.
