Fashion Magazine asked their trusted Style Panel to discuss socks and sandals this week. Here is what I said.
I looked back to see other times I’ve rocked socks in unexpected ways. Back in February I wore a graphic pair from Joe Fresh with a statement dress from the Peter Pilotto collection at Target. I also wore a great pair of knee highs from Roots Canada that month in Winter Classic. In the fall of 2012, the style blog seemed to have taken major focus to covering up my toes, with posts about: finding the perfect dress to take you anywhere in The Perfect Dress, pastels featuring a great pair of knee high socks in Pale and Bold, all of the details, where styled delicate fishnet socks (Dots and Details), and lastly for that season, when I wore a frilly pair from Topshop in the Fall Floral post.
– Oh and I had crazy orange hair back in 2012!

Fashion Magazine wanted to know how we were wearing our favourite summer pieces in this freezing cold winter we’ve been having. My suggestion was the ensure that layering was involved. Here is what I said.

Sweater dress, American Apparel. Summer dress, Banana Republic. Shoes, Topshop. Jacket, Danier.
]]>During the winter months, I often resort to the most practical shoes, ignoring all of the amazing “works of art” that I’ve acquired, as I want to keep them as safe from the snow and salt as possible. We get so much snow here in Toronto, that turns into gross slush that when mixed with salt is like shoe kryptonite. As the season winds down (hopefully) keep your eyes open for more practical shoes that you’ll be able to wear throughout the season. Buying them on sale and taking care of them with the proper shoe care sprays will allow you to feel more carefree when walking in the snow.
These amazing boots are by the British label Kurt Geiger, which has an amazing sale going on right now!

]]>During the holidays, it’s easy to get overwhelmed with shopping, family festivities and finishing projects at work before your vacation can start.
It’s important to take the time to get into the festive spirit for yourself. I know, I can’t celebrate or even being relaxing without getting my hair done. There is something about perfect Revlon colour by Natalie Shemuel of Image Makeover on Queen Street in Toronto, that can make even a simple outfit sparkle.
